Lucas started training with me in early 2020. As a former powerlifter and a retired Marine, he sought to regain some of the strength and fitness he had in years prior. It had been many years and several surgeries since he was able to train efficiently, and with any substantial amount of weight.

One of the first things he said to me as I began to interview him and establish what his goals were…
“I’m not going to squat.”

Sure thing, boss.

Nearly 2 years later, Lucas has set several state powerlifting records for the squat, bench press, and deadlift. He didn’t necessarily want to complete in powerlifting, but I sure as hell don’t shy away from making people as strong as possible. His competitive nature led him to the platform. While weight loss wasn’t his primary goal, he has been able to shed a good amount of body fat while adding muscle to his frame.

The reason Lucas has been able to be this successful is he executes in every important area. He maximizes his rest, he eats extraordinarily well, and he trains with intention. He is also very well aware that to transform your body in this way is a long game. It does not happen overnight. It takes months upon months of dedicated, consistent effort.

Lucas is a shining example of how and why my process works. It’s simple and effective. Even with a busy schedule, Lucas has consistently been able to train 4 days per week since we began working together.
